These are the rules we write by.

Accuracy

We take facts from vendors’ own documentation and pricing pages where possible, and say so when sources disagree. Every page shows when it was last updated.

Honest labelling

Pages are marked research-based unless they are based on hands-on use. We do not claim to have tested software we have not used, and we do not publish scores or star ratings without testing behind them.

Independence

We do not accept payment for coverage, for a favourable write-up or for a position in a list. See the affiliate disclosure for how the site is funded.

Use of AI

We may use AI tools to help research and draft pages. A person is responsible for what is published, and the same accuracy rules apply however a page was drafted.

Trademarks

Product names and logos belong to their owners. We use them only to identify the products we write about. SoftwareReviewHQ is not affiliated with or endorsed by those vendors unless a page says so.

Corrections

Tell us about an error on the contact page. We correct confirmed errors promptly and update the page date.
